About The Jam Guild

The Jam Guild

Rosemary Jameson is the founder of The Guild, set up over ten years ago to support and advise the artisan preserve community and to create “one voice” giving artisans more power over decisions being made that affected them. So from small beginnings of just a handful of members it grew to steadily to represent hundreds of members.

The Guild provides training and mentorship and is continually writing and adding to the Knowledge Base of technical papers for use by members for their own improvement.
Members are kept up to date on changes in the regulations or other issues which may affect them via newsletters and social media - and their own digital magazine Simply Preserved.

The Guild is constantly innovating by developing services such as discounted bespoke insurance or label checking, always aiming at improving and maintaining high standards for artisan production.

"We wont rest until you're the best"

Rosemary Jameson - Founder

Aged 5,
when I first went to school,
I was already an experienced jam maker

I have been making jams and preserves for all of my life and now actively spend my time in the world of artisnal jam and preserve making, including teaching jam and preserve making and Master Classes, talks and demonstrations, writing and running my own Artisan preserves business.

Lovejars alongside husband Trevor,  is also a big part of the overall picture with jars, equipment and ingredients all available on-line.

At the same time our other brainchild, The Guild of Jam & Preserve Makers, is at the heart of artisan production forging a link between the artisan members and the official bodies such as Trading Standards and Defra. Keeping pace with the changes in regulations and new developments, it is an invaluable service to those making preserves on a small scale.
